We’re constantly told that inflammation is the root cause of illness. But how does that help us? It makes it seem like inflammation is this mysterious thing that comes from nowhere and that we have no control over. That information is useless unless we talk about what CAUSES inflammation in the first place, and how to stop it.
Chronic inflammation leads to most of the chronic illnesses we see today like cancer, heart disease, arthritis, chronic fatigue, diabetes, all diseases ending with -itis, and especially autoimmune diseases.
When I was really suffering from the autoimmune attacks when I was in the thick of it with celiac disease, the chronic inflammation was one of the most noticeable and painful signs (besides my intestines constantly feeling like they were exploding). Read the rest of this post »
