This green juice is one of the juices I drink every day, along with the carrot and apple and plain carrot juices on the Gerson therapy. This juice floods my body with the nutrients it needs to heal, detox and thrive.
And remember why we love juices?
Juicers grind the produce and separate the fibres from the liquid. You are left with a liquid shot of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, protein and oxygen. These nutrients are absorbed by the body within 15 minutes of drinking the juice, without the body having to expel any energy.
- ¼ medium green bell pepper/capsicum
- ¼ - ½ head of romaine/cos or endive lettuce (red and dark green lettuces are all ok, but not iceberg)
- 1 inch wedge red cabbage
- 1 green apple
- 1 leaf of swiss chard or silverbeet
- 2 - 3 young inner beet leaves
- 2 - 3 leaves escarole
- 5 - 6 escarole leaves
- Rinse all the leaves really well and pat dry.
- Run through your juicer!
